About this event

Join the Confucius Institute U.S. Center and other Chinese language enthusiasts in a fun, informal, virtual conversation series to practice Mandarin Chinese and travel to China without leaving your home! This monthly event will discuss cities and travel in China. We will practice how to describe the location of places, characteristics of cities, and how to travel there.

Language learners of all different levels are welcome to join! Language resources can be found in our online learning page.

Each meeting, we will have a short presentation on a different city by a language learner. Then, we will go into small groups based on language levels to practices listening, speaking, and vocabulary. Lastly, we will go into the large group to share and solidify what we learned. Connect and practice with language learners from all over, satisfy your travel bug!

About this Event

Unleash your inner film critic. Each month, we select a Chinese language film to help learners with there listening skills as well as a way to bridge U.S. and Chinese culture as well as highlight the unique contributions Asian directors have made in the worldwide film industry. Past films have included Lost in Russia , Big Fish and Begonia, and The Farewell. Whether new to the Chinese language or a lifelong learner all are welcome to join us for this ongoing series!
