About this event
Join the Confucius Institute U.S. Center and other Chinese language enthusiasts in a fun, informal, virtual conversation series to practice Mandarin Chinese and travel to China without leaving your home! This will be the third gathering to discuss cities and travel in China. We will practice how to describe the location of places, characteristics of cities, and how to travel there. This month we will focus on what to see, what to eat and what to shop for.
Language learners of all different levels are welcome to join! Register and you will receive a language resource with vocabulary and sentences to prepare for the discussion prior to the event.
When we meet to discuss, to begin, we will have a short presentation on the city of Suzhou by a language learner. Then, we will go into small groups based on language levels to practices listening, speaking, and vocabulary. Lastly, we will go into the large group to share and solidify what we learned. Connect and practice with language learners from all over, satisfy your travel bug!
