‘The Virtues of Water’ Gallery Exhibition Opening

April 25, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join the Confucius Institute U.S. Center for a celebration of our latest in-house gallery exhibit, ‘The Virtues of Water.’ The exhibit will feature works of calligraphy and watercolor painting prepared by Robert B. Bernhards, Yang Guqian, and Yang Ting. Each work is an exercise of meditation about the connections between humans, the environment, and the teachings of the Tao Te Ching.

This opening night event will feature a short artist talk-back program wherein each artist will offer a short presentation, explaining individual connections to the Tao Te Ching and how this has brought them closer to nature. After the presentations, guests will be treated to a live musical performance of classical Chinese Guqin music by third generation member of the Min School, Li Bojie, playing the famous song, “Flowing Water.”
