Global Ties: Increasing Diversity in Chinese Language and Cultural Education

On May 3, 2017 the Confucius Institute U.S. Center will host Global Ties: Increasing Diversity in Chinese Language and Cultural Education. This seminar and discussion aims to create a space for participants to share ideas, experiences and best practices on facilitating global education opportunities for under served populations. The event will begin with a brief panel discussion highlighting panelist’s areas of expertise within international education.

Following the panel discussion, panelists will lead small group discussions highlighting topics such as the importance of global education, current initiatives focused on increasing minority engagement, and practical steps organizations can take to prepare minority students for global education experiences, specifically in China. Educators, professionals, and students interested in diversity in international education are welcome to attend.

The evening will begin with at light reception at 5:30pm followed by the discussion at 6:00pm. Registration is strongly encouraged.
