Space is limited for this special artistic workshop! Register today to create your own traditional Chinese style paintings under the guidance of a trained artist. Instructor Robert B. Bernhards has partnered with the Confucius Institute U.S. Center to teach Chinese traditional painting and writing techniques for the purpose of improving understanding between Eastern and Western cultures. Bob is working with the CIUS Center for the second time after previously instructing students in Chinese fan painting.

Beyond the Wall: Film Screening
On November 9, 2017 at 6:30 pm the Confucius Institute U.S. Center will host a discussion and film screening of the independent documentary film Beyond the Wall. The film tells the story of four DCPS high school students who were selected for a six-week Chinese language and culture program in Beijing in summer 2009.
