Confucius Institute U.S. Center – 2017 CI Story Telling essay contest
The CIUS Center is accepting essay submissions for its 2017 People to People National Honors Award. Tell us your story!
Have you actively participated in trips, classes or cultural exchange programs at the Confucius Institute? Then we want to hear your story! Please see below for essay criteria and submission guidelines.
- Essays should tell your personal story of cross-cultural experience, learning Chinese and/or insights gained from your experience, and why it matters to your personal development;
- Essay length should be 2-3 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman font, size 12;
- Publishable writing quality, excellent grammar and formatting;
- 2-3 pictures of yourself to accompany essay;
- Email your essay to your Confucius Institute, with the title – CIUS Center essay contest by EOD May 1, 2017 for consideration.
Finalist will be invited (with a guest) to an all expense paid trip to Washington DC, to attend the national awards Gala, where honoree’s accomplishments will be recognized and celebrated on a national platform.
